2. Approach towards Ecotourism activities

Are you aware of the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Re-revised Eco-tourism Policy-2017, the guidelines issued by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Eco-tourism in forest and wildlife areas-2021 and Forest (Conservation) Amendment Act-2023?

Based on the above how would you design and develop and provide eco-tourism services at the designated 1 hectare site?

What strategies you would follow to ensure sustainability of ecotourism activity and how would you plan an environmentally viable model?

What do understand by community ownership and community engagement?

How will you respond to community expectations?

What would be your Layout Plan for 1 hectare site? What Ecotourism activities would you propose?

How would you address the challenges related to infrastructure development, accessibility and environmental impact on the site or impact of site activity on the environment?

Whether HP ECOSOC as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is the most suitable approach to establish a common branding, a shared website and a unified payment gateway for the community based ecotourism initiatives.

Wouldn’t it be contradiction of community based ecotourism if you opt for everything to be done at your own?

What should be the criteria of selecting a Concessionaire keeping in view the existing guidelines and sound ecological/ ecotourism principles?
